Schopdog

Schopdog is a chain with multiple locations in Santiago. It wasn’t my favorite restaurant in Santiago, but the service was great and it was open at a time when a lot of other places were closed.
Based on the name, I expected it to be a hotdog place, but that was not correct. Instead I would compare it more to a Chili’s or an Applebees. The way the menu was designed and the decor in the restaurant felt like a lot of fast casual restaurants do. The menu was big and had lots of pictures of different dishes. They had burgers and also pastas, sandwiches, and meats with rice.
The people working in the restaurant were very nice and friendly. Everyone was working really hard. I feel bad that this is somewhat a negative review, when everyone was so lovely.
The food I would say was just mediocre though. It is very similar to the quality of food and experience as a Chili’s. There are so many amazing restaurants in Santiago that if you are only in town for a brief visit I would not prioritize this one. However if you are tired and want a burger and a beer, or a place with a large and inoffensive menu to please a picky eater, then I highly recommend Schopdog.
